Make cycling events more accessible through creating events with minimal financial barriers and provide a forum for people to request and offer transportation and lodging.
Bike events can cost hundreds of dollars to register, and that’s if you’re lucky enough to get a space in the event before they reach capacity. This can sometimes happen minutes after registration opens. Additionally, riders can feel pressured to meet minimum fundraising goals, provide transportation to and from the event, and provide lodging. We seek to reduce these barriers so anyone who wants to partake in an awesome cycling event can do so.
Provide an opportunity to see what you are capable of.
Genuine shock is a common response when you tell someone you are biking to Duluth. A lot of times folks don't even realize this is a possibility. It is. Not only is it possible, it's quite doable.
Showcase and advocate for Minnesota's bicycle infrastructure.
Thanks to Minnesota's world-class bike infrastructure, Bike to Duluth! can be completed primarily on paved, dedicated trail. Along with the amazing scenery and challenging distance, this trail system is invaluable to our event.
Have fun and come together.
'Nuff said, let's ride!
